Announcing “The Side Door,” an intimate exhibition featuring a showcase of local artists and performing artists. It’s produced by an ensemble of students from MassArts’ Studio for Interrelated Media (SIM) and is styled in a formal atmosphere. This event is to be themed like a (dry) speakeasy, featuring a formal dress code, intimate atmosphere, and tabled seating. There will be an evening of entertainment over a formal backdrop stylized like a classic 20th century nightclub. Inspired by the close performing space provided at jazz clubs existing and defunct, this event hopes to replicate that experience while also providing a platform for artists to showcase their talents within a formal environment.
