The 13th Annual Marjorie Hellerstein Lecture Series featuring Artist & Poet Jen Bervin

This year poet/visual artist Jen Bervin will present work from her 2017 book Silk Poems. It's in the Kennedy Conference Room on the Kennedy building 2nd floor. Reception at 5:30, lecture at 6 p.m. Contact Lin Haire-Sargeant for more information.

Jen Bervin is an artist and poet whose research-driven interdisciplinary works weave together art, writing, science and life in a complex yet elegant way. Bervin's work has been the subject of many solo exhibitions at venues including Yale University, Mass MoCA and The Morgan Library and Museum. Bervin has published ten books, including Silk Poems—a long-form poem presented both as a book (Nightboat Books, 2017) and (in collaboration with Tufts University's Silk Lab) as an implantable biosensor made from liquefied silk.
