As part of the on-campus component of the MFA 2022 Thesis Exhibition, Common Ground at the Doran Graduate Gallery, Ted Hinman will present his immersive thesis Installation, Crystal Mount Realm, at MassArt's Design and Media Center, DMC-309. A special viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 6-9pm.

Drawing inspiration from his childhood and his faith, Ted Hinman’s practice involves discovery through exploration of materials and processes. Hinman writes: “As a young person I was ostracized, and I discovered as an adult that I am on the autistic spectrum. When I am creating my art, I forget my disability and exist in a space free from judgment. I lose the sense of otherness I feel. This has led me to want to build a world to include others. Crystal Mount Realm is an offering of an ideal world where all are welcome.”
