Continuing the Spring 2025 Fine Arts Lecture Series, the MassArt Graduate Programs and the 2D and 3D fine art departments are pleased to welcome Sonia Almeida. Please join us in the Design and Media Center Lecture Hall at 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 12. 

Sonia Almeida lives and works in the Boston Area . Almeida received her MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London and BFA from the University of Lisbon. She is a recipient of the 2024 Guggenheim Fellowship, the 2015 Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the 2017 James and Audrey Foster Prize. Almeida was represented by Simone Subal Gallery in NYC for 12 years until its closure and has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally.
