**********************************************************************************

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time to recognize and bring attention to the important issue of sexual violence in our society. As a community, it is our responsibility to support survivors and raise awareness about the impacts of sexual assault.

At the same time, we must also acknowledge the intersectionality of sexual violence with other forms of oppression. We must work towards racial equity and inclusion in all aspects of our community, as well as recognize and address the disproportionate impact that sexual violence has on marginalized communities.

Sexual assault is a serious issue that affects people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds. More than 90% of sexual assault victims on college campuses do not report the assault. We all have a role to play in ending sexual violence, and it starts with awareness and education.
