DESCRIPTION:Henri Cole was born in Fukuoka\, Japan\, to a French mother and
  an American father. He has published numerous collections of poetry includ
 ing\, most recently\, The Other Love (Farrar\, Straus & Giroux).  He has re
 ceived many awards\, including the Jackson Poetry Prize\, the Kingsley Tuft
 s Poetry Award\, the Rome Prize\, the Berlin Prize\, the Lenore Marshall Po
 etry Prize\, and the Award of Merit Medal in Poetry from the American Acade
 my of Arts and Letters. He is also the author of Orphic Paris (New York Rev
 iew Books)\, a memoir. He lives in Boston and teaches at Claremont McKenna 
 College.
