Please join us on Wednesday, October 23, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, in MassArt's Doran Gallery for the Opening of the 7th MassArt Alumni Biennial Exhibition, Looking Backward. Looking Forward.

This year, the exhibition features works that find inspiration from our past to help envision our future, and includes themes of the past reinterpreted through the lens of the future or the future in the context of the past, themes involving the passage of time, themes around personal or collective histories, and themes around materiality - concept of primitive vs. futuristic.

Exhibition Jurors

MassArt was honored to work with three talented jurors for the exhibition: Mallory Ruymann, managing partner of art_works who serves as co-president of the board of Boston Art Review and co-chairs the Tufts University Art Galleries Acquisitions, Jason Landry '07, former owner of Panopticon Gallery and former Director of the MFA in Photography program at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and Darci Hannah M'24, interdisciplinary artist and former curator for the MassArt Art Museum and Bakalar and Paine Galleries.
