Calling all artsy introverts! This special session will teach you how to present yourself and meet people in professional situations like Career Fairs, gallery receptions, and creative industry events. We will be bringing MassArt students and alumni together to meet face-to-face in a safe space. At this session, you will learn how to craft an “elevator pitch” about yourself and practice it with students and alumni in a speed-networking exercise. This will give you the opportunity to practice it while actually meeting other people in the MassArt community and hearing them introduce themselves as well. After this exercise there will be a more casual “reception” where you can grab a mocktail and snack and continue to meet and talk with more creatives. And you never know- you may meet some people who will be great partners on your professional journey! It will also help you be more comfortable introducing yourself to employer representatives at the Creative Career Fair on March 18th.
