About this Event
View map Free EventThe Godine Family Gallery presents the solo exhibition MATERIAL NATURE, an intriguing exploration of human and machine biology from Shozab Raza (MFA '24 Dynamic Media Institute).
About the Show
This exhibition is a contemplative exploration, delving into the intricate interplay between the corporeality of the natural world and the artifice of human creation. It casts a discerning gaze upon the contemporary manifestations of organic and inorganic constituents, elucidating the palpable tensions that arise at the juncture of these material realms, owing to the limitations inherent in our present-day technologies. We stand on the precipice of an impending revolution, one that holds the imminent potential for a convergence of human and mechanical materiality, ushering in a new era of synthesis.
Anticipate an immersive assemblage encounter featuring two prominent interactive works, an array of illustrations, collaborative artworks interwoven with AI, and a selection of the artist's earlier explorations.
The exhibition juxtaposes human physiology with mechanical components in an effort to prompt contemplation. The interplay between touch-reactive interfaces and distance sensors orchestrates a unique symphony of audience engagement, seamlessly synchronizing auditory and visual dimensions in real-time response to input.
