The Department of Film/Video is proud to present MAFF (MassArt Film Festival) 2024, featuring culminating thesis work from the 2024 graduates of MassArt’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Film/Video.

The centerpiece of the festival, MAFF: Behind The Sun, presented at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA, is a two-day student-programmed theatrical screening featuring short films from each of this year’s twenty-five Film/Video BFA graduates. Behind The Sun at the Coolidge comprises two events: Screening Program I on Thursday, May 2nd at 7:30pm and a Screening Program II on Sunday, May 5th at 3:00pm. 

Limited free tickets are available to the public, and go on sale at 7:30pm on Monday 4/29; please check back for ticket link!

A concurrent on-campus gallery exhibition, MAFF: Spotlight, featuring expanded cinema and 2D/3D artworks from select graduating seniors, will be on view at the MassArt Student Life Gallery from April 26 – May 3, with a closing reception on Friday, May 3, 4-6:30pm.
