Artist, scholar, and art educator Stephen Hamilton will talk about his art, which ranges from graphic novels and figurative painting to textiles and woodcarving. Hamilton's body of work envisions Black culture, identity, and aesthetics on their own terms, connecting local Boston-based Black communities to their pre-colonial African heritage.
