We are pleased to welcome Reverend Laura Everett from the Massachusetts Council of Churches, who will be working with us on spiritual care for our community. Rev. Everett, along with other local faith leaders from the Black Church, Islam, Judaism, and Roman Catholicism, will facilitate gatherings that will help participants understand grief, ritual, and practice from different faith traditions and religious perspectives.

All luncheons are open to students, staff, and faculty regardless of religious/spiritual affiliation, if any, and will be held in Tower 1101 on the following dates:

Friday, March 15th 1:30-3:00pm | Islam with Dr. Celene Ibrahim
Friday, March 22nd 11:30am-1:00pm | Jewish Traditions with Rabbi Dan Slipakoff
Friday, April 5th 11:30am-1:00pm | Roman Catholic Traditions with Chaplain Lynn Cooper and Fr. Federico Cinocc
Friday, April 19th 1:30-3:00pm | Black Church Traditions with The Reverend. Dr. Newsome-Camara

We want to acknowledge our understanding that the traditions chosen for these first four sessions (Black Church traditions, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) are not an exhaustive representation of MassArt's community. We want to stress that these sessions are ongoing, and that we will continue to explore and invite other religious and spiritual traditions in the future.
