MassArt is pleased to welcome Stephanie Pierce to the Fall 2023 Fine Arts Lecture Series. Pierce joins the 2D and 3D Fine Arts departments, the Graduate Programs, and the MassArt community on Wednesday, November 15 at 12pm in the Design and Media Center Lecture Hall.

 

Stephanie Pierce’s paintings explore relationships between light, time, and perception as it is reconsidered over time. Stephanie’s work is represented by Alpha Gallery in Boston and Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects in NYC. She has exhibited at The Henry Art Gallery, Seattle; The Staten Island Museum, NY; and Asheville Art Museum, NC. Stephanie received a Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant in 2014. Her work has been published in the New Yorker Magazine, Harper’s Magazine, and is included in the collections of William Dreyfus, and Joan and Roger Sonnabend. Stephanie is currently working on a forthcoming solo exhibition at Jupiter Contemporary for the fall of 2023. Stephanie is an Assistant Professor of Painting at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
