Numerous solo exhibitions, primarily in NYC (1993 to present) include, Pierogi gallery, Pamela Salisbury gallery, and Elizabeth Harris gallery. Reviews of Yuen’s art have been published in Hyperallergic, Art in America, and the New York Times. Charles Yuen also had a recent solo exhibition, Rhyming the Invisible, at MassArt x SoWa's neighbour gallery, LaiSun Keane, which was reviewed by the Boston Globe!

Originally from Hawaii, Charles Yuen holds a MFA (Rutgers University) and BFA (University of Hawaii). Viewing art as connected to a social and civic vision, activities include a founding membership in Godzilla, an Asian American arts organization. Part catharsis, part poetics, inherently iconoclastic. Charles Yuen currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
