  Graduate Programs and the 2D and 3D fine art departments are pleased to w
 elcome Joseph Zane. Please join us in the Design and Media Center Lecture 
 Hall at 12:00pm on Wednesday\, November 19. \n\nJoe Zane is an American ar
 tist born in 1971. He is best known for work that questions his own authen
 ticity and his role as an artist. He often combines painting\, sculpture\,
  video\, performance and printed material into a confusing array of interd
 ependant works that describe a narrative questioning the truth of what the
  viewer is seeing. Often dealing with his relationship to art history\, so
 me of Zane’s best known works include 31 drawings of Conceptual Artists 
 (some of which were displayed at the Institute of Contemporary Art\, Bosto
 n) and most recently a series of paintings of famous art forgers. Often fi
 lled with humor that betrays the serious nature of the subject matter\, Za
 ne is looked at as part of the next generation of artist pranksters. Zane 
 currently lives in Cambridge\, MA.\n\n \n\nThis event is free and open to
