Continuing the Fall 2024 Fine Arts Lecture Series, the MassArt Graduate Programs and the 2D and 3D Fine Arts departments are pleased to welcome Hanneline Røgeberg. Please join us in the Design and Media Center Lecture Hall at 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 13. 

Hanneline Røgeberg is a painter who got her BFA from San Francisco Art Institute and MFA from Yale, and whose work has been featured nationally and internationally in solo and group exhibitions at  the Whitney Museum of American Art, the MIT List Center, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, Contemporary Art Center Cincinnati, The Frye Museum, Vancouver Art Gallery, Kunsthalle Andratx, Spain, Museion Bolzano, Italy, Henie-Onstad Art Center and KODE in Norway, among others.  Awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship, American Academy of Arts and Letters Purchase Award, the Anonymous Was A Woman Award and a Westaf/NEA grant. She is currently the inaugural recipient of the Edvard Munch Studio residency and stipend at Munch’s studio Ekely in Oslo.

Currently full professor at Mason Gross School of the Art, Rutgers University, she previously taught at University of Washington, Cooper Union and Yale School of Art, and was a visiting artist at Skowhegan in 2009.

Her most recent solo exhibition at Galleri Riis opened in August 2024.

She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and Oslo, Norway.
