Dispersed Memories of a Fading Past: The Israeli Occupation of the Jordan Valley Remembered through Oral History


A lecture by Atwa Jaber followed by a conversation with Rabea Eghbariah and Rania Said.


Atwa Jaber is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of International History, Geneva Graduate Institute, and a Visiting Researcher at the European Center for Palestine Studies, University of Exeter. His research interests lie at the intersection between history, anthropology, and geography, with a focus on forced displacement and memories thereof in the settler colonial context of Palestine. Atwa comes from an interdisciplinary background and has worked and conducted research with various institutions, within and beyond academia. The Swiss National Science Foundation funds his ongoing research, and he is currently a fellow of the Palestinian American Research Center and the Institute for Palestine Studies.
