As we continue to navigate difficult times, the Office of Justice, Equity, and Transformation (JET) and Community Health and Well-Being will be hosting a series of Thriving Classrooms workshops focused on Coping, Healing, & Liberation in Grief Work and Engaging Across Difference. Workshops will start Fridays in February and continue throughout the semester. Distinct sessions will be held for faculty/staff and students. Join us with your questions, curiosity and open heartedness for a more full expression of our capacity to heal and grow with one another.
Coping, Healing, & Liberation in Grief Work
Presented by Jennie Knott, LICSW
Program description:
As we continue to navigate difficult times, we must not lose the plot of what it means to be human, and fully alive. These grief sessions are an invitation into developing a practice and capacity for being with and expressing the many different shapes of grief as the most normal, necessary and human response to trauma and loss. The series will begin with a teaching session followed by experiential sessions. The teaching session is not a prerequisite to attend the experiential sessions, though doing so would be a great primer and is strongly encouraged.
