Massachusetts College of Art & Design was the defining chapter in Doug Ansine’s creative journey. Studying industrial design laid the foundation for Brain Child, and for the shoe he had been working toward throughout his professional life.

On Friday, May 8, 2026, the MassArt DMC building will host the official launch of the collaboration. The event will bring together the Brain Child community and MassArt design students, offering the opportunity to purchase the sneakers alongside a panel discussion exploring the future of footwear collaboration and how emerging designers can make meaningful impact within the industry.

A true full-circle moment for Doug Ansine, Brain Child, and the community that shaped it all.
