The Art Education Department is delighted to continue into its 3rd season of the Art Ed Speaker Series. The Art Education Speaker Series features artists and educators that embody the mission of our department to interweave critical pedagogy, flourishing creative practice and social justice. The Art Education Speaker Series is open to all. 

 

Mo Kong is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher. They received an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Kong has had solo exhibitions at Queens Museum, CUE Art Foundation; Artericambi Gallery and Cuchifritos Gallery. They have been the recipient of fellowships and residencies including Macdowell Colony, Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Triangle Art Association, The Drawing Center, Lighthouse Works, and AAI.Their work has been included in the RISD Museum, SFMOMA, Mana Contemporary, Noguchi Museum, Spring Break, ARTISSIMA, Make Room Gallery, Hesse Flatow Gallery, and Rubber Factory Gallery.They have been finalists of Artadia, NYFA fellowship (Architecture/design), and Van Lier fellowship. Their work has been mentioned on Hyperallergic, Artforum, Art in America, Cultured magazine, Artnet Bomb magazine, Artpaper, CoBo Social, Wall street International, SFMoMA Public Knowledge, etc. They currently reside in Queens, New York.
