Learn more about the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics (MONUM). MONUM was formed in 2010 as the Mayor's civic research and design team (one of the first in the nation!) to explore and prototype ideas, services, and policies that have the potential to bring joy, delight, and wonder to Boston residents + visitors. MONUM works across city departments and communities on a variety of fields including everything from the future of mobility to City infrastructure to collective well-being.
