The Brant Gallery provides a forum for interdisciplinary, cross-cultural curriculum development through its exhibition program, lecture series, and visiting artists. The gallery expands the boundaries of the Studio Foundation curriculum by introducing students to contemporary issues in art from a global perspective.

The Design and Media Center, designed by Susan T. Rodriguez of Ennead Architects, opened in January 2016 as the new front door to the MassArt campus. The DMC was carefully designed to establish a new, interdisciplinary flexible space model that would meet the rapidly evolving standards in art and design education and match contemporary studio practices.

The DMC Lecture Hall is a 130-seat Lecture Hall with a 4K digital projection and sound system, located on the first floor of the Design and Media Center, adjacent to the DMC Atrium.

The Patricia Doran Graduate Gallery, located in the Design and Media Center at MassArt, presents graduate student and student-curated events. A student coordinator, in conjunction with a gallery committee of graduate students, solicits proposals and coordinates the use of this space.
